Read the workplace as a system
A floor plan is never only a plan. It distributes visibility, access, attention, and permission. People learn the real operating model by moving through it.
Begin with work, not attendance
Ask which activities benefit from presence, what focus requires, and where decisions stall. Those questions produce a more useful brief than a target number of desks.
Make behavior and space together
A collaboration room cannot create candor, and a focus policy cannot overcome constant interruption. Design the environment, tools, and team agreements as one experience.
